But dual wield also give you access to sword rush combos which overpower most other weapons when it come to physical damages. Chromoprismatic Quarterstaff can give +1 to all element PLs if you want pure choice. Yeah, dual wielding reduce your skill damages, you need to max it to compensate. I would prefer to play with mainly one weapon set, as switching is a bit of a hassle in my opinion. My playstyle is mostly prebuffing, before entering combat / casting CC & Damage spells (Think Ninaguth's grimoire + Zandethus' Draconic Fury). Each of these weapons either gives a flat boost to spell damage or boosts elemental PL. I do have Citzal's, but I would prefer to dual-wield for penetrating strike. All advice is assuming you're running with a full party. Level 3 you always pick mark enemy from the leadership tree, its just that good early game. This allows you to train your Parry every level which will give you decent defense. Depends on where you plan on standing and what you want your character to do. The two weapon skills to start with are 2h (cleave) and dual wield (Flurry of Blows).
